Culinary professionals, who are highly active in modern society, are required not only to have good cooking skills, but also to have a wide range of knowledge and experience in food safety, nutrition, dietary education, and management.
Here at Musashino Cooking College, we offer a curriculum for students to obtain life-time certifications and play an active role in a wide range of fields, ensuring the development of work-ready culinary professionals.
Features of school
- A three-step curriculum focused on practical training to nurture work-ready skills! Students will learn everything including western, Japanese, Chinese, confectionery, baking, and mass cooking!
-
We educate students to be work-ready employees through a three-step curriculum focused on practical training: the "Basic Training" to improve individuals’ general cooking skills, the "Grand Stage" to learn about cooking overall, and the "Advanced Stage" to learn more sophisticated skills for their specialized fields. Students learn the basics of all categories: Western, Japanese, Chinese, confectionery, baking, and large-scale cooking. After that, they are divided into courses of their choice to learn more advanced techniques. In the second year, depending on the course, practical on-campus training such as "Tasting Events" and "Patisserie Espoirs" are also offered!
- Musashino's unique facilities and faculty strength! plenty of places for students to relax!
-
In addition to our urban school building being conveniently located a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, it is also equipped with practical training rooms for each cooking course! In our original training rooms, each student is provided with their own cooking space, allowing students to develop the ability to work on their own, a skill that cannot be developed through group training. In addition, each cuisine has its own training room that recreates the workplace of professionals. Through the invitation of faculty members and outside instructors that are active on the front lines of the industry, our students can acquire leading skills. Also, the Communication Library filled with culinary information is staffed by a librarian, providing a comfortable space for learning and relaxing.
- Staggering employment achievements woven with 40,000 graduates
-
Musashino boasts a 55-year history. The success that our many graduates have had in their respective fields is immeasurable. Some of our graduates have become a chief chef at famous hotels while others have opened their own restaurants, showing a variety of opportunities available.
