The education is carried out based on the ‘Shokuiku’ (food education) proposed by the principle, Hattori Yukio. The school raises expert nutritionists, chefs and pastry chefs who can fulfill the mission of ‘shokuiku’ and at the same time, think of health, safety and the environment.

In order to bring out the real taste, Hattori Nutrition College wants the students to study in the real environment. Besides providing facilities and environment that are similar to the professional ones, the school also has a studio kitchen equipped with the latest and newest facilities called ‘Studio de Cuisine’ in the ANNEXE building. It is fully equipped with facilities and equipments that can give students a better look at famous chefs demonstrating or giving lessons. The equipments can also be used to prepare any kind of dish. All the studying rooms are designed based on the consideration of work efficiency and also the interior design. Kitchen equipments are all brought in from all over the world; France, Italy, Germany and many more and they can be used to make a variety of dishes.

Hattori Nutrition College carries out special classes in which the best chefs from Japan as well as overseas are invited for students who want to learn and master better skills. Sakai Hiroyuki, Chen Kenichi, chefs who are awarded for the Michelin rating; students get the chance to meet chefs who are famous worldwide as well as those who often appear on the television and magazines. With these special classes, students get to listen and learn skills directly from the top-ranking chefs. This is an environment where students can learn the top-ranking skills and improvise themselves.

The school raises talented people who are needed in the food industry, so students will have more advantage in job-hunting! Approximately 10 openings to job applicants are available for 1 applicant.

Information about dormitory, apartment

Although Hattori does not have its own dormitory, the school does have a sponsored student hall. It is separated into boys’ dormitory and girls’ dormitory. Plus, there is also a student hall that comes together with meals, so students who are living on their own for the first time have nothing to worry about.
