Introduction of school

This is Japan’s first culinary school, continuing to lead the industry for 100 years! Thoroughgoing support under a system of small classes.

The school has constantly led specialized education in food, and produced many graduates equipped with solid actual ability. As experts in the culinary field, our teachers provide thorough technical instruction for each and every student, and develop them into human resources that can be of immediate service on cooking sites.

January 2021 saw completion of the new school building. It is, of course, installed with the latest equipment and materials, and the training rooms are up to professional specifications. The building provides the optimal environment for the development of personnel who will be of immediate use on cooking sites.

The school has also made full arrangements for support of tuition payment, as exemplified by our provisions for preferential treatment offering exemptions from tuition in amounts of up to one million yen for two years!
Installed with the latest facilities and equipment, the new building is prepared with mechanisms and an environment enabling all students to learn with a high degree of satisfaction.

Holding classes that are ultra-small enables careful instruction with attention to the skills of individual students. Students acquire various culinary skills and techniques in stages, through instruction that begins with laying a firm foundation.

Nagoya Tsuji Gakuen has a staff of many full-time teachers with various career backgrounds and sure technical ability. The staff includes teachers with specialized expertise in different cuisines (Western, Japanese, and Chinese), food services, and confections. Students can get instruction directly from them at any time, and thereby acquire solid skills themselves.

As part of its instruction, Nagoya Tsuji Gakuen holds restaurant training sessions every week to provide an opportunity for practical learning in a setting closer to actual employment sites. There are also restaurant training sessions in a format of sales open to the general public. Students can therefore master skills that will be of use on actual cooking sites and could not be acquired merely by study in ordinary classes.

Qualification for the exam for Class 3 restaurant service technicians certified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (2-year program only)
