While at the University, special programs can make “My Brand,” “My Shop,” and “My Style”! Possible

We hold exhibitions in Tokyo and Osaka, and announce “My Brand.” We capitalize on the opportunities to conclude negotiations / sales with domestic and overseas stores, provide clothing for television personalities and artists, or be featured in a magazine. Since 2000, “My Shop” has been operated for three months at a time in areas such as Umeda, Shinsaibashi, and Namba. The students are involved in all shop management duties, from store layout and serving customers to PR and sales management. And “My Style” is repeatedly announced at fashion shows and at photo shoots on location and in the studio. Participants appoint photographers and models, and plan total styling.

You’ll have many opportunities to try out what you’ve learned with the strong backing of the apparel industry. In industry collaborations, students’ ideas are sometimes actually commercialized as real products. In the stylist course, gain experience through internships and collaborations while attending school, on sites such as magazines, fashion shows, concerts, commercials and television. Build personal connections while acquiring practical skills. With the fashion business course, first year students experience internships for approximately one month in winter. We have won the prize for six consecutive years in the sales roleplay meet, in which many schools participate, showing that our students acquire practical skills that rival professionals, and are ready to be immediate assets at work.

Through conducting “My Brand,” “My Shop,” and “My Style” as well as industry collaborations, internships, and more, Osaka Institute of Fashion has a unique educational program that trains our students from the ground up to be professionals who obtain job offers mainly from well-known apparel companies. Our Career Center specializes in job placement, and it cooperates with each homeroom instructor in providing advice on the most suitable places of employment and activities that match each and every student. Our employment assistance program is complete with in-school corporate information sessions, internships, discussions with prospective employees offered a job, individual counselling, practice interviews, and more.
