As a part of “SHOP & CAFÉ Practical Training”, students of two-year programs will participate in the management of a bakery open to the public. Here, students will make their own pastries and bread and sell them to customers. Such duties will help them learn not just about mass production skill, but also customer service and management skills.
While working in an environment equipped with the latest facilities and tools, you will eventually master the necessary skills and learn to be ready to hit the ground running in the actual workplace.
On top of that, you also have the opportunity for hands-on training where you observe and learn about various carefully selected ingredients and tools with the help and advice from a group of experienced teachers.

Of course, students of Kyoto Pastry & Bakery Art College would never pass on the chance to compete in the national competition of confectionery-making held for all students around Japan! Four students participated in the competition in 2019 and the school is very proud of everyone’s hustle!

At Kyoto Pastry & Bakery Art College, students are given the time and chance to self-train after school hours or even on Saturdays. During that session, you can practice for the upcoming national competition or skill test, improve your weaknesses, and concentrate on training whatever you desire. Of course, teachers will always be by your side, providing guidance and advice whenever you need help.
