Thanks to the 3 (teachers)-to-1 (student) guidance system that involves the homeroom teacher, vice homeroom and the career advisor, every student will receive thorough guidance from education all the way to career support. Every practical lesson involves two or three teachers, so students can easily ask for advice whenever they need help.

◆ Thorough support for qualification acquisition including culinary licenses
Besides regular classes, the school also provides special lessons for qualification examinations. With the help of writing and skill tests, each student will receive thorough and in-depth guidance. Instead of doing it all alone, every student will be helping each other out and hence, bringing out the motivation in you.

For 2-year advanced programs, second-year students will start their restaurant training by serving food and providing services to actual customers. In a student-run restaurant that requires reservations, students will practice providing excellent hospitality and serving traditional Japanese and regular course meals. With this curriculum, you have the chance to train to be a better chef who excels in everything from culinary and customer service skills to food prepping and business management.
Serving your creation to customers and having them compliment and appreciate your hard work will definitely make you feel worthwhile and understand the fun of culinary. So, master all the skills and keep utilizing them for the next five or ten years!

By applying to Kyoto Culinary Art College, graduates of “Advanced Japanese Cuisine Program” and “Culinary Program” will be awarded the certification and badge for Silver license in accordance with “Guidelines for Certification
of Cooking Skills for Japanese Cuisine in Foreign Countries”.
With the cooperation of the Japan Culinary Academy, Kyoto has started to expand the acceptance of foreign chefs who wish to work while learning Japanese cuisine in 2019. Thanks to that, any foreign graduates of Kyoto Culinary Art College with Silver license will be able to work in a Japanese restaurant in Kyoto for five years without any problem.
